Paul Dixon
It’s hard to imagine a better role model for the SCFA academy kids than Paul Dixon.
Paul was coached by Stevie from the age of 12 after having initially been rejected by United. He then crossed the road to Dens Park and went on to play 100’s of games for both the City’s clubs and won full International honours for Scotland.
His ability & passion along with his dedicated attitude and mentality for football provide a great example of what you can achieve if you work hard and love the game. Paul regularly passes all of this onto the academy kids to help and support them in their efforts to achieve their own goals.
Although still playing at Falkirk he has recently accepted a role as Under 16’s coach at Hearts academy. Worry not… he’ll still be guest coaching at SCFA.

The Twins Make it Big
Scarlett & Klara Brady are just two of our many success stories here at SCFA, The girls were with us from the launch of the Academy attending girls only classes, mixed classes and Elite clinics. They have gone on to sign up at Heart Of Midlothian FC Girls academy. Although 2006’s they have now progressed to Hearts Under 19’s. Even with their now busy schedule, the girls still return to SCFA for a session with us any time they get the chance.
Jamie Richardson
Jamie Richardson is another player who was with us from the Academy launch. Jamie’s one of many of the players who have left us to further his career with Dundee FC Academy. Although a 2006 Jamie has already progressed to making regular appearances with the Under 18’s and like many of our other former kids visits us for a 121 session when he can.
From Player to Coach - Kyle Bennet
One of the many opportunities for kids at the Academy is the chance to come in and work alongside the Coaches to gain experience and add to their knowledge.
Kyle started his SCFA journey as a young goalkeeper under the guidance of Paul Mathers. In the past year with us he progressed to being an apprentice Goalie coach, before moving to America for a scholarship with University of Rio Grande in Ohio. Kyle is loving his time there and we love hearing about how he is doing and seeing him progress. We’d be glad to welcome him back any time.
From Player to Coach - Chris Gorrie
Chris is another graduate from player to coaching apprentice coach here at SCFA. After being with us here and progressing from player to apprentice coach, Chris has now gone on to do his NQ Higher Football Performance course at New College, Lanarkshire Broadwood Campus and is being coached by Sandy Clark, Allan Moore and Todd Lumsden.
